Rubric


For Peace Talks, the judges will use the following rubric.

  • Content, message, theme adherence: 10 points
    Presents a clear, compelling, and well-developed message related to peace, justice, reconciliation, and conflict transformation.
  • Storytelling: 20 points
    Inspires through the use of stories, narrative, description and imagery.
  • Argumentation, research and evidence: 20 points
    Persuades through the use of credible sources, examples, stories, statistics and other evidence to support claims.
  • Originality and insight: 10 points
    Offers fresh perspectives, creative thinking or unique insights rather than relying on clichés or simplistic solutions.
  • Impact and call to action: 10 points
    Inspires the audience through new awareness, understanding and/or a call to action.
  • Delivery: 10 points
    Demonstrates confidence, poise and authenticity.
  • Vocal effectiveness: 10 points
    Uses appropriate volume, pace, articulation, emotional expression and vocal variety.
  • Audience engagement: 10 points
    Maintains attention through storytelling, questions, examples, humor, suspense or other techniques.
